Where can I recycle my plastic take-out food containers from restaurants?
Foam take-out containers, such as those from restaurants and grocery stores, are accepted through the Multi-Material BC Recycling program. This includes foam clamshells, as well as cups and bowls for take-out food and instant noodle containers. These items are not accepted in the curbside recycling collection, but they can be taken free of charge to a number of recycling depots across the province. For a complete list of locations, visit the Multi-Material BC website, or contact the RCBC Recycling Hotline.
Please ensure that all containers are sorted into white and colored foam prior to drop off at the depot.
