Plastic and paper-fibre pots and trays, including those for seedlings, vegetable plants, and bedding plants, are included in a province-wide recycling program managed by Recycle BC. Many residents who receive curbside recycling collection through their city or municipality can put these containers into their household recycling, provided that they are free of soil or plant material and are no larger than 25 litres.

Residents who are not able to use their curbside recycling can instead take these pots and trays to a local recycling depot for free drop-off. Visit RCBC’s Recyclepedia for drop-off options or contact the RCBC Recycling Hotline for all options available in your community.
