How do I recycle plastic woven and net bags?

Plastic woven and net bags are included in a provincial recycling program for packaging and printer paper, under a category called "Other Flexible Plastic Packaging."  This program is managed by an organization called Recycle BC.  This category would include woven bags for rice, net bags for bulk oranges or onions, and others.  For a complete list of included items, please visit the Recycle BC website.

These plastics are not included in the curbside recycling program, but can be dropped off at a participating depot free of charge.  For a complete list of locations, visit the Recyclepedia or contact the RCBC Recycling Hotline.

Crinkly wrappers and bags from commercial sources are not included in the Recycle BC program.  To see whether local options exist for commercial plastic recycling, contact the RCBC Recycling Hotline
