Where can I safely dispose of residential compact fluorescent light bulbs and/or fluorescent light tubes? What about other household light bulbs? (With Bonus Video)

ReGeneration operates the province-wide LightRecycle program for fluorescent light tubes and compact fluorescent bulbs.  This program also includes all other residential light bulbs such as incandescent, halogen, and light emitting diodes (LED’s).  Drop-off depots can accept up to 16 bulbs and 16 tubes at a time, in any shape or size up to 8 feet in length.  These products are free to drop-off at designated retailers or recycling depots. To locate your nearest depot, call the RCBC Recycling Hotline or visit the RCBC Recyclepedia or LightRecycle website.

As of October 2012, the LightRecycle program also accepts industrial or commercial volumes of light bulbs and tubes.  Also included are residential and commercial light fixtures and ballasts.  For more information, call the RCBC Recycling Hotline or visit the LightRecycle website.
